MCGSA provides a supervised softball program with the purpose to implant the youth of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty and respect for authority. Murphey Candler Girls' Softball Association (MCGSA) introduced girls' fastpitch softball to Atlanta in 1968. With an eye toward the future of girls' and womens' athletics, MCGSA saw the emerging opportunities for young women to play competitively through high school, college and even beyond.
